Overview

El Gouna is a town built entirely on water canals and small islands connected by bridges, about 25 kilometres north of Hurghada. The architecture is Nubian-Mediterranean in earth tones, the streets are spotless, and it feels unlike anywhere else on the Red Sea.

The tour takes in Tamr Henna square in Downtown with its cafés and shops, the Abu Tig Marina where the yachts moor, and stops at the best photo points on the bridges and canals. A short boat ride through the canals can be added depending on time.

We leave enough free time to sit in a café or shop. Restaurants in El Gouna are a little pricier than in Hurghada, but the atmosphere makes it worth visiting at least once during your holiday.
