Overview

Shaab El Erg, north of Hurghada, is not just a dive site — it is the permanent home of a pod of bottlenose dolphins that stays there all year. The trip leaves the harbour in the morning and the crossing takes about ninety minutes to the area where the pod usually rests.

When we find the dolphins we stop quietly and cut the engine. Approaching them follows clear rules: we do not chase the pod, we do not drive into the middle of it, and we let the dolphins choose the distance. That is not a formality for us — we respect nature and animals, and it is exactly why the pod keeps coming back to this spot year after year.

After that the day continues with two snorkelling stops on living reef, lunch cooked on board and time to relax on the sun deck. We are back in the harbour in the afternoon, then transfer you to your hotel.

Please note: dolphins are wild animals, not a guaranteed show. On most days we see them, but we do not promise it — we only promise that we will not disturb them.

    About 90 minutes sailing to Shaab El Erg.

    Searching for the pod and stopping quietly once we find it.
