Overview

Mahmya is the oldest and best-known beach on Big Giftun Island, and it differs from the other trips in one important detail: lunch is a buffet served on the beach itself rather than on the boat, under palm-thatch parasols with tables and chairs.

The beach is long and sandy with a wide shallow area, and the reef begins right after it — so you can snorkel straight from the shore in addition to the stop we make on the way. The island sits inside the Giftun nature reserve, which is why strict reef-protection rules apply: no touching and no standing on coral.

The trip fills a full day with around five hours on the island, and it is one of the most requested excursions among our German-speaking guests.
