Overview

Sindbad is a genuine tourist submarine, not a glass-bottom boat: it actually descends to a depth of up to 22 metres, and every passenger has their own window and a comfortable seat. The whole trip is in air conditioning and you never get wet.

This is the one way to see the coral reef if you cannot swim, are nervous in water, or are travelling with elderly relatives or very small children. Down below, a coral wall and shoals of fish pass by your window while the guide explains what you are looking at.

The dive itself lasts about an hour, inside a total programme of roughly three hours that includes the shuttle boat to and from the submarine and your hotel transfer.
