Overview

The best option if you want the adventure and the scenery without riding a quad yourself: families with small children, or anyone who would rather not deal with sand and dust head-on.

An experienced driver takes you in a 4x4 along desert tracks between rocky hills and sandy wadis. The drive itself is the point: climbs, descents and wide open views you simply do not get from the paved road.

We stop at a Bedouin village for mint tea and a look at how they live, then at a high point for the sunset and photos. The jeep is open on top for most of the route and closed and air-conditioned on the way back.
